Baby dear

Where did you come from – George MacDonald

Where did you come from baby dear?
Out of the everywhere, into the here.

Where did you get your eyes so blue?
Out of the sky when I came through.

What makes your forehead so smooth and high?
A soft hand stroked it as I went by.

What makes your cheek like a warm, white rose?
Something better than anyone knows.

Where did you get that pearly ear?
God spoke, and it came out to hear.

How did they all just come to be you?
God thought about me and so I grew.

But how did you come to us Baby Dear?
God thought of you, and so I am here.

This is a favorite poem of mine! I LOVE reading poems and short stories to Noah (he doesn’t care for much more than that anyways :)

Noah is officially sleeping {almost} {so I guess that’s not official} through the night! He gets up once {sometimes twice}, but this is far better than it was a few months ago :) Praise the Lord! It’s bittersweet, for sure… but, we’re all 3 resting well, so that’s good. I find myself waking up and missing him in the middle of the night. Matt thinks I’m crazy. But, I just want to feel his hugs and his little kisses on my cheek {which are move like little licks… but I think he knows what he’s doing and is kissing me}.

Matt’s been working day and night, night and day… Writing, writing, writing! {applying for jobs in the in-betweens}. We’re REALLY excited to see where we’ll be going next! It’s exciting {scary} to imagine our lives in all the different locations we talk about while he’s job searching! We’re hoping that it’s either close to home or that we’ll make enough money that the cost of flights won’t matter :) Whatever is best for the family is what’s top priority!

Little Dashie reading his Nemo book from Aunt Maci!

We’re in the process of teaching him to feed himself. He’s getting there! Didn’t like raisins!! I think it was the texture. BUT… He LOVES his banana now :) Persistence paid off!

SWINGS! He loved swinging at the park.

Trying to find something good on the tube… :) He actually has NO interest in TV… GREAT kid!

We ran out of gas the other day {we’ll blame it on dad}. While Matt walked to get gas {a few blocks down} buddy and I got some playtime!
Lastly, Noah now has a new cousin (Matt and I have a new nephew), Gavyn Lamar Faggett Sechler! Congrats to Cassie and Derrick. We’re so happy for you guys!
Second lastly, Happy Birthday today to Dash’s Aunt Whitney . Love you.
